Watch Astronaut Scott Kelly return to Earth after a Year in Space

After nearly a year on board the International Space Station, astronaut Scott Kelly is coming home.

Around 4:15 pm Eastern time today, Kelly will enter a Soyuz spacecraft and then seal the hatch between him and the floating science lab that's been his home for 340 days.

At 8:05 pm, that capsule is scheduled to undock from the ISS and fall back to Earth. Kelly's flight is expected to touch down at 11:27 pm ET in Kazakhstan. Kelly is departing the station along with Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko, who has also spent nearly a year on the orbiting space lab.

You can watch Kelly's return on this NASA live stream below. It begins at 3:10 pm ET with the change-of-command ceremony aboard the ISS.
